FATHER & SON
My wife and I spent about 2 hours talking to a teenager after dinner at our home. The issue was he (Christian) is having a cold war with his pre-believer dad.
He was fed up and this is his last straw as his dad threaten to throw him out of the house if he gambles again. The problem was that he started playing mahjong since CNY and it was fun at first and now becoming addictive. He played 4 times after CNY and the dad misunderstood that he plays everytime when he is back late in the night. He realised his mistake for falling into temptation to gambling and will repent. However he is still bitter over the dad's threat (more than 5 times since he was primary 2). We were surprised that he remembers the hurt and this proves that the wounds are still there and we pray for healing.
We were glad that he accepted the fact that if the cold war persist, who will win the battle? He might win the war, but he lost the battle (last Sunday's message). The one will laugh all the way to the bank is the devil.
We closed in prayer with he asking God for opportunity to reconcile with the father. We are praying God will use this negative event to bring the dad to the kingdom of God. Please pray with us.

FACING THE GIANTS
Last Friday, our cell has a relax evening just watching a movie. I believe many were touched and refreshed by some of the moments in the movie where everything seems so defeated, depressed and downcast. Yet, With God, All things are Possible. This movie was not screened in the local theatres as it is quite a 'Christain' theme where literally Jesus is often mentioned. It was highly recommended by Erika.
I would encourage other cell groups to screen this movie when you have a break from your normal cell activities. Take the opportunity to invite pre-believers and be blessed by this VCD, Facing The Giants.

LONG TIME NO BLOG
It's been quite a while that my blog is being updated. Present job is super busy with construction boom and every high rise condominium and office building will need lifts and escalators. Sometimes I am sick of the enbloc sale because that means there will be more buyers will be in the market and more condos will be built.
Today's lunch is as usual, hawker centre near Parc Oasis Condo. To our surprsie, Mee Pok Ta cost $2.50 instead of the usual $2.. Wa lau eh, an increase of 25%..I thought GST only 2% increase???????? My petrol tank was also low and when I passed the Shell Station...Wa lau eh...Petrol prices also went up...July increment is coming and guess what??? Company is not making money based on last year's result...sigh...
Thank God, Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever and He never fails to amaze me by His awesome ways that money cannot never buy..Amen.
